By LeahJL
Tangerine Tango. The name kind of snaps at you. It makes me think of mango salsa; sweet and spicy at the same time. You may think of something totally different. You also may not know what to think. In that case, let us ask an expert. "[Tangerine Tango is] sophisticated but at the same time dramatic...,[it's] an orange with a lot of depth to it." says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute,R.
With designer like Tommy Hilfinger, Cynthia Steffe, Elie Tahari, and Adrienne Vittadini adding this vibrant shade to their spring collections, how will you keep up? Well, let's take a crash course in wearing Pantone color 17-1463.
- Almost anyone can where this color. It looks really striking against blonde, brunette, or reddish hair and brown, green, or blue colored eyes.
- Any skin tone can pull of this color full-on, but those apprehensive of this effervescent color, it can look nice in a print, as well.
- Tangerine Tango can be paired with basic tones such as beige, brown, white and navy blue, however in fear of seeming too Halloween-y you should steer clear of pair this orange shade with black.
- On a more venturesome route, you could pair it with bluer hues (purples, greens, or blue itself), as blue is orange's Complimentary color. For example: A tangerine dress with a Prussian blue shoe or clutch.
